Take a video tour of Rascal’s Rest
Rascal’s Rest is a spacious detached beachfront property with four double bedrooms, each with the option of either a king or two twin beds. All rooms have an en suite bathroom. Bedrooms 1, 2 and 4 have showers in their bathrooms, while bedroom 3 has both a bath and a shower.
The house has a lovely, large, open-plan kitchen/dining room with an adjoining outdoor patio for long, lazy meals. The light-filled lounge is ideal to enjoy the view while taking in the sounds of the sea with recessed doors that can be opended on three sides on hotter days. The fire pit on the property is a great area for relaxing at night, while the wooden deck is the perfect place to relax during the day next to the sparkling, child-friendly swimming pool.
The entire downstairs section of the house is available for use. The upstairs area is kept for private family use. The family does not stay there when guests are in the house. You have complete privacy.
Uncapped fibre Wi-Fi is provided at the property for guests to use. There is a file containing information on the area available to all guests on arrival. The file contains house-alarm details, a list of local restaurants and information on shopping and recreational activities in the area. Emergency numbers for doctors and hospitals are in the file as well.

Location
Dolphin Coast, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
Salt Rock is family-friendly and retains the charm of a seaside village. No apartments or timeshare estates are situated on the beach. The Salt Rock Hotel, which serves great curries, is a short walk away. Many lovely restaurants are also within walking distance.
The House is located midway, 200m, between the main bathing beach to the right and a tidal pool in front of the hotel.
Further down to the right, about a 1 km walk, there is a lovely large rock pool for swimming and the “grannies” pool where children can swim safely and have fun.
The main bathing beach is patrolled by lifesavers on weekends and holidays and the beach is shark net protected.
The house is situated on the beach, about a 100m walk from the lifeguard-monitored swimming area to the right of the house.
The area boasts beautiful long, sandy beaches for beach sports, building sandcastles and long walks. Our neighbours on either side rent their houses as well. Please let me know if you have any problems with noise or disturbances. The vast majority of guests are families and are well behaved and considerate.
